When we got there I was trying to get in contact with the turo driver who failed to pick up his phone and was not answering message back. Which got me worried. I gave time all our arrival information. We arrived slightly early but stuck on runway for way too long, ended up being 20 min late. Which made we worried what if he left us.

5 mins later he called and informed me he fell asleep. Nice guy. But needs to stop smoking in his car, bleh. Otherwise the handoff was great.

But before I get to that....THE ROAD IS AMAZING
But People can’t drive here. It’s worst than Dallas, and that’s a tall order, but the mountain road wow...non stop twisty for 5 mins and people are brave. Maybe too brave but never the less it was a blast to drive. The Audi performed marvelously but also drink gas like nobody’s business. Seriously my GTI makes similar power but can hit 35 mpg. This Audi due to powertrain gets around 20?

Our humble abode was really cute with just one bed over looking Muir beach. Each morning is beautiful and people setting fire each night.

Woke up double checked everything was packed. Three times.
Made it to the airport with time to spare, Kristen is in her 3rd trimester so...pacing was slower. Which is nice. Leaving my mom solo at home feels daunting and scary (knock on wood). We made a last min decision to change our basic hertz car rental with turo car rental. I found a 2011 Audi A4 Quattro. I thought about sports car but I also thought what if Luke didn’t have a car that could take my mom around. Also we had to pick Luke up. So we settled. Or else...Z4 or Porsche would have been my choice.

Check in was funny, the long board wheel looked like a bomb and I had additional screening. Thanks Luke...
