Everything is blurry at 5am.
I got a pain au chocolate and J got a crab quiche. The quiche was pretty good. Mine was a bit too bready, not flaky enough. Also not a fan of the chocolate they used in it.
Got a cortado from Storyville. We shared a salty caramel pastry which was good but too sweet for us. I browsed around while J studied. Nice atmosphere and good coffee.
Enjoyed the urban garden on top of Pike Place. Nice view too.
Strolled through the Pike Place market.
Jade had told me about "piano in the parks", and we found the piano at the Occidental park. I played a little bit. A lady struck up conversation with us. We didn't linger long.
J and I got salad bowls from Sprout. Yum.
We walked to the harbor and went on the ferris wheel. It was quite nice to see the view of Seattle from high up.
We left the harbor and headed to our airbnb apartment. We may or may not have taken a nap on the couch.
We headed back to downtown Seattle again and took the underworld tour (which we reserved tickets for earlier in the day). It was really fun to go underground and learned about the history in Seattle!
We had a drink on the house after the tour (cab for me and gin 7 tonics for J).
J and I went to this Japanese izakaya place called Maekawa Bar for a late night snack and drinks. We got takoyaki, beef tongue, and chicken. The takoyaki was kind of soggy, and the beef came out room temperature (not cold but not really hot). :(
