It is such a distinctive culture - there's nowhere else quite like Japan. And that ice cream looks amazing!

@2foodtrippers thanks! It was just as fun taking photos as it was to eat the food :)

Oh wow, those hamburgers were definitely worth the food coma! Nothing better than hearty food to keep the traveling joyous.

It is funny to read the previous comments - I must be the only one who has zero interest in Japanese food :) I don't have a taste for sushi and when you talked about "japanes style italian" a shiver went through my spine ;) I must say that it looks like a unique culture and I am glad for once a traveller did not stop to the obvious Tokyo but spent more time in other places :) BRAVO!

I absolutely love seafood, as well as Japanese culture, so this was a thoroughly enjoyable read! The Equator Bar sounded fantastic too :)

I love Japan, there is something about that country that's fascinating! Wishing I'll be able to go back soon!

I had the pleasure of working with Japanese engineers for nearly seven years in the States. I also got to visit Japan for 16 days on an executive tour. What a wonderful experience. My wife and I want to visit Japan via cruise ship, then stay a bit longer on a land journey. Your journal has me wanting to go now. Thank you.
