As usual, the week leading up to vacation is packed with wrapping up with work and making sure that everything is taken care of, especially having just returned from Beijing last Saturday. With that said I'm grateful that we have the chance to take the time off. It's been a year with a lot of events but not necessarily focused time to ourselves. So off we go! Wow air actually has a surprising amount of leg room.
Going through immigration was easy and quick. We waited for our shuttle and got to the hotel by 5:30am. Since it was still so early, we left our bags at the hotel, rested a bit by the lounge (and charged our phones!) before heading out for breakfast.
Unfortunately the soup of the day wasn't ready yet. Got a quiche and latte. Yum.
We took a stroll around the city as it became brighter.
Stopped for coffee. Flat white was delicious. Will be back.
We shared a local hot dog.
After a brief break at the hotel (checked in and lounged a bit), we went to get our real lunch. The seafood soup was so good.
Finding cute ceramic cups but each costed 50 USD so... I realized the ones I passed up in Shanghai were not as expensive as I thought.
