J and I went to Per Diem for a media invite dinner. The host led us upstairs past the crowd at the bar. As we walked up the stairs, it got quieter.
I got pork belly as a starter. J got a butternut squash soup. The chef brought us the bone marrow with escargot. I enjoyed the tangy flavor of the capers and tomatoes along with the savoriness of the bone marrow.
Then the lamb! It was so delicious and tender. The polenta and vegetables accompanied it well.
I like the beignets - fluffy and light. Not too sweet. The chocolate creme brûlée and the Apple ice cream were both a bit sweet for me.
Enjoyed the meal for our date night!
