I sold my Nissan Sentra in DC, so I rented a Budget truck to get my remaining belongings from DC to Kentucky. They'd been in storage while I was abroad.
I woke up REALLY early on Saturday morning so I'd have time to load the truck and drive the 600+ miles to Louisville, KY.
Here is a blurry selfie of me and my empty truck, REALLY early in the morning.
After a very quick breakfast of pancakes (surprisingly delicious!) at a McDonald's in Lorton, VA, I hopped on the interstate and started driving.
Like my parking job?
My first stop was in Covington, VA, where I ate at McDonald's for the second time in one day :(
I didn't stop again until I was almost to Lexington, KY.
Here, I switched it up and got a pot pie at KFC! It was underwhelming.
I had to take a picture of this sweet yellow car before I got back on the road.
I arrived in Louisville just as the sun was setting, and it was beautiful, even as seen through the bug-smeared window of my moving truck.
Leg #1: Complete! (Driven in a Budget truck, but complete.)
